Golf for Breast Cancer Prevention
The “2nd Annual Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention” will take place at The Legend Golf Course at Shanty Creek Resorts on Monday, June 1st. 2009. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. with a “Four Person Scramble” Shotgun Start at 9:00 a.m.The $80. per person entry fee includes 18 holes of golf with a cart.
There will be 16 prizes of “rounds of golf for four” with prizes for the longest drive, closest to pin and longest putt for both men and women, nine flight prizes for low nets, for men, women and coed pairs teams, a prize of $5,000 for hole-in-one on #12 plus prizes for hole-in-one on all the other par 3's.Each Golfer will receive a "Goodie" bag with a Schuss Mountain Golf Special Coupon and some other surprises. A cash beverage bar and munchies will be available after players finish golfing, followed by a “Super Barbecue Lunch”.

The Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention partnering with Northwest MichiganCommunity Health Agency provides free mammogram screenings to under served and uninsured residents of Antrim County with a special emphasis through education, on the importance of early detection in saving lives.

The Amazing Run For Breast Cancer Prevention in Antrim County
A one hundred mile ride through beautiful Antrim County will take place on Saturday, June 13th. 2009 with proceeds from the event going to the Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention. Event organizers are Julie and David Budas of the Lunch Box, in Bellaire. “This is not your ordinary Poker Run!” says Julie. There will be five stops along the way, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes and among the many Poker Run prizes, are one man’s and one woman’s, “Harley Davidson U.S.A.” leather jacket and a two night stay, at “Shanty Creek Resort”.
Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. behind the Bellaire Bar. The cost is $15.00 per person, $10.00 for preregistration, the first bike out by 11:00 a.m. last bike in by 4:00 p.m. The run will culminate at the new Blue Pelican Inn in Central Lake with food, a cash bar, and dancing to the live band sounds of “ABANDINUS”.

The 100% volunteer agency raises funds to provide screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds for the uninsured and underserved residents of Antrim County and partners with the Health Department of Northwest Michigan and Munson Hospital Breast Cancer Services.

Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention - Elk Rapids
The Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention will host it’s 2nd annual Elk Rapids event on Monday, June 15th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Jack Blesma Pavilion, at the Edward C. Grace Memorial Harbor.
Offering the opportunity for a good time in the company of friends and community, a guest speaker will address health and wellness issues. A collection of Art Bras from the 2008 Crystal Lake Art Center exhibit, created by local artists to raise awareness of breast cancer will be on display.

“Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention’s Evening Reception”
An evening of fun awaits you, at “The Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention’s Evening Reception” being held on Saturday, July 18th from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. in air conditioned comfort, at the Pelican Room on 10555 West Old State Road in Central Lake, with plenty of on site parking available.
Enjoy dancing to the music of the Jill Jack Band, sample fantastic food from the Pelican Room Buffet with invited food stations from Shanty Creek Resorts, Butch’s Marine, Bellaire Smokehouse, Pearls New Oleans Kitchen and desserts by Northern Delights. Your choice of a complimentary glass of wine, or beer is included and a cash bar will be available. Both a live and a silent auction will add to the excitement.

50 % of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention (ACHT), a 501(c)(3) corporation.
The mission of ACHT is to educate and assist residents of Antrim County who are uninsured or underinsured for breast cancer screening and testing. The number of women being tested has more than doubled over the last three years but is still only a portion of those in need.
